Your participation in the CariGenetics X Daily Male Caribbean Prostate Cancer Whole Genome Pilot Study is a significant contribution to our mission of understanding the genetic differences in prostate cancer in men of Caribbean ancestry. This study will include a select group of individuals – men with a history of prostate cancer and matched controls with no history of cancer or first-degree relatives (parents, siblings or children) with cancer. While our current research targets individuals with all four grandparents of Caribbean descent, this criteria does not exclude you from participating in our future research projects. As a way to mark our 10 year anniversary since launching our patient and public partnership strategy (https://www.bmj.com/campaign/patient-partnership) we are going to publish a patient led issue of the BMJ. This will be published in the summer of 2024 (exact date to be confirmed). Our aim with this issue is to highlight, discuss and share any work or insights into working in partnership with patients and members of the public across healthcare. We welcome submissions which are educational, opinion pieces, editorial and/or features. For this issue, all article submissions must be written or co-written by a patient or someone with lived experience.
