Coronary sinus (CS) thrombosis is an exceedingly rare condition in which a thrombus forms in the veins that drain blood from the heart.1 Coronary sinus thrombosis can be classified as either iatrogenic or spontaneous, with iatrogenic CS thrombosis being more common. Most instances are attributable to right heart instrumentation (e.g., right heart catheterization, cardiac resynchronization treatment, Ebstein anomaly correction, ventriculoatrial shunting, and radiofrequency transcatheter ablation).
