Mashup Score: 97Percutaneous Mechanical Aspiration in Infective Endocarditis: Applications, Technical Considerations and Future Directions - 3 month(s) ago
In recent years, there has been a shift in the epidemiology of patients with infective endocarditis (IE). This has been characterized by an alarming increase in IE in patients who inject drugs, cardiac implantable electronic device–related IE, and those with comorbid conditions and high surgical risk. This unmet need has mandated a reevaluation of complex management strategies in these patients and introduction of unconventional approaches in treatment. Percutaneous mechanical aspiration has emerged as both a diagnostic and therapeutic option in selected patients with IE.

Mashup Score: 0Rescue of Threatened Coronary Obstruction Due to Sinus Sequestration: Valve-in-Valve Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement - 2 year(s) ago
IntroductionLimited data exist regarding the risk of coronary obstruction due to sinus sequestration in valve-in-valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR); data are derived from post-TAVR computed tomography (CT) analysis, and the incidence has been low in clinical experience (1). As valve-in-valve TAVR is predicted to increase due to late failed TAVR valves, further information is…
