To the Editor: Tumid lupus erythematosus (TLE) is a rare subtype of cutaneous lupus erythematosus characterized by annular, erythematous, or urticarial papules on photo-exposed areas.1 Histopathology shows perivascular and periadnexal dermal lymphocytic infiltrates with interstitial mucin. Unlike other forms of cutaneous lupus erythematosus, TLE typically lacks epidermal changes, vacuolar degeneration of the dermoepidermal junction, or basement membrane thickening.2 Literature on TLE is limited, making clinical diagnosis challenging.
