People over 65 years of age have the highest incidence of epilepsy. The management of seizures in older adults is complicated by the presence of physiological changes related to aging, comorbidities, and concerns regarding adverse events and drug-drug interactions. This program will review challenges associated with managing epilepsy in older adults, specifically those residing in a long-term care (LTC) setting. Recommendations for monitoring the efficacy and safety of an tiseizure medications (ASMs) and
