In this issue, Dr Seiichiro Abe provides Top Tips on the use of chromoendoscopy and magnification endoscopy to evaluate lesions in the esophagus and stomach. This type of careful evaluation is critical before embarking on endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for resection, because it can give important information as to which lesions may or may not be endoscopically resectable.
