Data from the recent AMGA 2024 Medical Group Operations and Finance Survey reveal medical groups continue to face challenges related to providing quality, cost-effective care in a constantly evolving healthcare environment. Medical groups continue to feel the strain of internal and external pressures, including rising labor costs, increasing demand/access issues, and regulatory changes, including those from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

AMGA members today objected to the proposed 2.8% cut to Medicare Part B reimbursements and a 4% across-the-board cut to Medicare payments due to statutory Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) rules. Those signing a letter sent to Congressional leadership represent nearly 126,000 providers who provide care to approximately 27 million patients.

Today, the AMGA Foundation’s Rise to Immunize® (RIZE) campaign announced that participating medical groups and health systems have administered or documented 18.3 million adult vaccines in the first three years of the national initiative.
