    People who eat a Mediterranean diet are an estimated 23% less likely to develop dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, according to a new study published Monday. A diet of seafood, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and extra virgin olive oil reduced the risk of developing dementia, even for those with genes that put them at a higher risk of developing the disease.
