A preschool-age child presented with complaints of generalized weakness and paresthesia in all fingers. On admission, reduced muscle strength of all extremities (2/5) and areflexia of both legs were noted. Vital signs were within normal limits. Laboratory testing revealed a normal blood white cell count und unremarkable CSF protein levels. The CSF white cell count was 24/µL.
