She manages the portfolio of patient engagement projects, connecting patients with opportunities to share their voices and experiences through research, design and advocacy. She lost her youngest son to complications of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis after an uncontrolled battle with the disease, fueling her passion for organizations like PCORI.  Kelley’s history with health advocacy work began with 10 years focused on hunger relief as a health intervention, during which time she was promoted to executive director of the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.
