Mashup Score: 12Meet Katarina | American Diabetes Association - 20 day(s) ago
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at nine years old, which changed my life forever. One minute I was an average nine-year-old, the next I had to deal with the constant challenges of diabetes, including getting several shots each day, learning how to carb count, multiple finger pricks, and many sleepless nights. I was very scared because I had no idea what type 1 diabetes was. I thought it meant something about dying because it had “dia” in the word.
