October 3, 2023 — Boston Scientific launched the LUX-Dx II+ Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) System, a next-generation insertable monitor for long-term monitoring of arrhythmias associated with conditions such as atrial fibrillation (AF), cryptogenic stroke and syncope. The system is designed with dual-stage algorithms that detect and then verify potential arrhythmias before an alert is sent to clinicians, thereby providing actionable data for clinical decision-making. Further, the remote programming capabilities of the device allow physicians and care teams to adjust event detection settings and record symptoms without requiring an in-person patient appointment. The dual-stage algorithms within the LUX-Dx II+ ICM System can be programmed to identify AF, atrial and ventricular tachycardia, bradycardia and rhythm pause episodes.
