With a plethora of trials conducted by numerous international research groups, there is a lot of data evaluating the role of radiotherapy in breast cancer. Orit Kaidar-Person, MD, Sheba Medical Center, Ramat Gan, Israel, provides an overview of how clinicians should administer radiotherapy in patients. Choosing patients who will benefit from radiotherapy, planning the correct volume and dose of radiotherapy, as well as quality assurance checks are all vital components to optimal radiotherapy.
