Stroke prevalence increased more than 15% among Americans aged 65 years and younger in the last decade, research published in MMWR showed.According to Omoye E. Imoisili, MD, a medical officer at the CDC, and colleagues, stroke is a leading cause of morbidity in the United States “and was the fifth leading cause of death in 2021.”
