After primary radiotherapy, biochemical recurrence is defined according to the Phoenix criteria as a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) value >2 ng/ml relative to the nadir. Several studies have shown that prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-ligand positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) can help in detecting recurrence in patients with low PSA values. This study aimed to assess the detection rate and patterns of PSMA-ligand PET/CT uptake in patients with suspected biochemical recurrence after primary radiotherapy and with PSA levels below the Phoenix threshold.

At diagnosis, <1% of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have synchronous solitary brain metastasis (SSBM). In prior cohorts without 18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) staging, definitive treatment to intracranial and intrathoracic disease showed a 5-year overall survival (OS) of 11–21%. We investigated the long-term survival outcomes for patients with SSBM NSCLC, diagnosed in the FDG-PET/CT era and treated definitively with local therapies to both intracranial and intrathoracic sites of disease.

Prehabilitation strategies have potential to improve the management of patients receiving radiation therapy or chemoradiation. The aim of the present study was to map the evidence of the assessment and evaluation of prehabilitation for radiation therapy patients.

Dysphagia is associated with dose to the pharyngeal constrictors and can be measured using patient-reported outcomes to evaluate its effect on quality of life. The aim of the present study was to relate pharyngeal constrictor dose–volume parameters with patient-reported outcomes to identify prognostic dose constraints.

Cardiac disease is a dose-limiting toxicity in non-small cell lung cancer radiotherapy. The dose to the heart base has been associated with poor survival in multiple institutional and clinical trial datasets using unsupervised, voxel-based analysis. Validation has not been undertaken in a cohort with individual patient delineations of the cardiac base or for the endpoint of cardiac events. The purpose of this study was to assess the association of heart base radiation dose with overall survival and the risk of cardiac events with individual heart base contours.
