Mashup Score: 1
These findings provide evidence that local B cells at least in late-stage MS preferentially mature into ASCs, which are largely responsible for intrathecal and local Ig production. This is especially seen in active MS white matter lesions and likely depends on the interaction with CD4+ memory T cells.

Mashup Score: 0A unified classification approach rating clinical utility of protein biomarkers across neurologic diseases - 1 year(s) ago
A major evolution from purely clinical diagnoses to biomarker supported clinical diagnosing has been occurring over the past years in neurology. High-throughput methods, such as next-generation sequencing and mass spectrometry-based proteomics along with improved neuroimaging methods, are accelerating this development. This calls for a consensus framework that is broadly applicable and provides a…

Mashup Score: 0Association between proteomic biomarkers and myocardial fibrosis measured by MRI: the multi-ethnic study of atherosclerosis - 1 year(s) ago
Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) determines the extent of interstitial fibrosis, measured by increased extracellular volume (ECV), and replacement fibrosis with late gadolinium myocardial enhancement (LGE). Despite advances in detection, the pathophysiology of subclinical myocardial fibrosis is incompletely understood. Targeted proteomic discovery technologies enable quantification of low…

Mashup Score: 0Attention is not all you need: the complicated case of ethically using large language models in healthcare and medicine - 1 year(s) ago
Large Language Models (LLMs) are a key component of generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications for creating new content including text, imagery, audio, code, and videos in response to textual instructions. Without human oversight, guidance and responsible design and operation, such generative AI applications will remain a party trick with substantial potential for creating and spreading…

Mashup Score: 0A high-throughput sequencing approach identifies immunotherapeutic targets for bacterial meningitis in neonates - 1 year(s) ago
Altogether, these results indicate the utility of a high-throughput DNA sequencing method to identify potential immunotherapy targets for a pathogen, including in this study a potential broad-spectrum target for prevention of neonatal bacterial infections.
