Maha Aon is a public health practitioner working at the cross-section of human rights and public health. She is senior public health advisor at the Danish institute against torture, DIGNITY, where she focuses on the health of incarcerated persons. Maha is Egyptian and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public health from Johns Hopkins University and is pursuing a PhD in epidemiology at the American University of Beirut.
