Clinical audits are established as systematic assessments with the aim of improving the quality, safety, and effectiveness of medical processes. The primary objective of clinical radiation audits is to ensure the ideal use of ionizing radiation in clinical practice through both the justification of exposure and the optimization of the process.1 While this kind of audits are already well established in radiology departments,1 data on the efficacy of clinical radiation audits conducted in cardiology departments are lacking.
