COVID-19 hospitalization twice as likely in patients with SARDs taking glucocorticoids
Among patients with systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases, hospitalization due to COVID-19 was more than twice as likely in those using glucocorticoids or CD20 inhibitors, according to data published in RMD Open. Hospitalization was also more than four times as likely among Black patients, but became significantly less likely with vaccination, the researchers wrote.
