Intracerebral hemorrhage traditionally has been associated with poor functional outcome. The authors of the STOP-MSU RCT (tranexamic acid vs placebo in patients presenting with ICH within 2 hours of onset) have performed a pre-planned secondary analysis of 1-hour repeat CT imaging to assess the characteristics of ultra-early hematoma growth and its association with functional outcomes.
