Breast cancer: Cases rising among younger US women although deaths are dropping
Breast cancer cases among US women rose every year from 2012 to 2021, especially among women under 50. The number of deaths has, however, dropped by about 10% in the past decade, according to two reports by the American Cancer Society.12 The reports also note that black women have lower survival rates for all breast cancer types except localised disease.
