The Lung Cancer Policy Network invites you to attend the webinar ‘Care pathways for lung cancer: how can they help build a foundation for optimal care?’. The value of care pathways for lung cancer has not yet been universally acknowledged. Despite evidence showing that high-quality care pathways can improve survival and outcomes, only a small number of countries and regions have established formal care pathways for lung cancer. Leaders must assess and identify how to improve current practice, develop care pathways where they do not exist, and optimise these pathways accordingly. As lung cancer care is multidisciplinary and complex, with many barriers to equitable care, effective pathways (regularly updated to reflect best practice) can help deliver a holistic and high-quality experience for people with lung cancer, driving improvements in outcomes and optimising use of infrastructure and resources.
