The converse is “neurotypicality”. Neurodivergence constitutes a variety of conditions that affect individuals differently. From challenges with processing information, to difficulties managing sensory overload, each aspect of neurodivergence can be placed on a spectrum of how much it impacts individuals and the lives they lead. Neurodivergence can become prevalent at different stages in life.
