Introduction Groin injuries represent a considerable problem in football. Although the Adductor Strengthening Programme reduced groin injury risk, players can still experience groin symptoms throughout the season. This study aimed to determine whether preseason Copenhagen Hip and Groin Outcome Score (HAGOS) and a history of previous injury can identify individuals at risk of having a longer duration of groin problems the subsequent season, using an ‘any physical complaint’ definition of injury. Methods Preseason HAGOS score and weekly groin problems were registered with the Oslo Sports Trauma Research Center Overuse questionnaire during one full season in 632 male semiprofessional adult players. Results The prognostic model showed a decreased number of weeks with groin problems for each increase in HAGOS score for ‘groin-related quality of life’ (QOL) (IRR=0.99, p=0.003). Physical activity (PA) effectively prevents and treats non-communicable diseases in clinical settings. PA promotion needs to be more consistent, especially in busy primary care. Sports scientists have the potential to support PA promotion in primary care. The Physical Activity with Sports Scientist (PASS) programme is created to personalise PA promotion led by a sports scientist in a primary care clinic. A pragmatic randomised controlled trial with two parallel groups will be conducted at a family medicine clinic. Physically inactive participants aged 35–70 years who have type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension or dyslipidaemia will be invited. The control group (n=60) will receive usual care. The intervention group (n=60) will receive the PASS programme and usual care. The PASS programme will consist of a tailored PA prescription after the physician’s consultation at the first visit and monthly phone follow-ups. Background Patellar tendinopathy (PT) is a common condition characterised by persistent patellar tendon pain and dysfunction, particularly in athletes. Neovascularisation is frequently observed in the PT and is associated with increased pain. Objectives To describe the injury profile of a novel format cricket competition (‘The Hundred’) and compare injury incidence and prevalence between the men’s and women’s competitions. Methods Medical staff prospectively collected injury data from the eight men’s and women’s teams during the 2021–2023 competitions. Injury definitions and incidence calculations followed the international consensus statement. Results In the men’s competition, 164 injuries were recorded, compared with 127 in the women’s competition. Tournament injury incidence was 36.6 (95% CI 31.4 to 42.7) and 32.5 (95% CI 27.3 to 38.7)/100 players/tournament in the men’s and women’s competition, respectively. Non-time-loss incidence (men’s 26.6 (95% CI 22.2 to 31.8), women’s 24.6 (95% CI 20.1 to 30.0)/100 players/tournament) was higher than time-loss incidence (men’s 10.0 (95% CI 7.5 to 13.5), women’s 7.9 (95% CI 5.6 to 11.3)/100 players/tournament). Background Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) is a sport well known for requiring a heavy and difficult training load from a younger age to reach a high level of performance. This also is associated with an injury risk. Epidemiological studies are thus needed to improve injury prevention strategies. Objective We aimed to determine the injury epidemiology in French high-level WAG. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis of injury data collected prospectively over six seasons from the 2014–2015 season to the 2019–2020 season among French high-level Women’s Artistic Gymnasts from the France Gymnastics National Centre of Saint-Etienne.
