Syed, MD, discusses results of a study conducted at Wills Eye Hospital that examined corneal cross-linking complications in more than 900 patients.The research highlights the safety of the procedure, with about a 3% risk for a nonhealing epithelial defect and about a 3% risk for a corneal infiltrate, Syed said.
