Living With FH: Salima is living with HoFH, a severe type of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), that leads to dangerously high levels of LDL cholesterol even in childhood. Without treatment, HoFH often results in heart blockages, heart attacks and strokes early in life. Salima’s sister, brother and father all died early from heart attacks.
