    This symposium will focus on recognizing the clinical burden of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), as well as managing the symptoms and progression of HCM. Despite the relatively high prevalence of HCM, reported to be as high as 1 in 200 individuals, most individuals are undiagnosed and untreated. The pathophysiology of HCM is complex and consists of multiple interrelated abnormalities.
