Meral Beksac, MD, Istinye University Ankara Liv Hospital, Ankara, Turkey, comments on the results of a subset analysis of the DREAMM-8 study (NCT04484623), which investigated the efficacy of belantamab mafodotin (belamaf) plus pomalidomide and dexamethasone (Pd) versus bortezomib plus (Pd) in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). The patients in this subset analysis had received one prior line of therapy (LOT), which included lenalidomide. Dr Beksac highlights that the belamaf combination demonstrated a significant impact on progression-free survival (PFS), complete response (CR) rate, and measurable residual disease (MRD) negativity rate.
