Subhyaloid Air Bubble Post Intravitreal Injection
A woman in her 60s was seen the day after an intravitreal injection of anti-VEGF. (A) Ophthalmoscopy showed a spherical air bubble anterior to the retina. (B) A dark ring with a bright center on a clear background was detected on the en face OCT slab at the inner retina. (C) OCT B-scan shows a pseudoanterior shift of the retina with increased brightness in the center and hyporeflective tails at the sides. We show here an OCT pattern caused by light refraction/reflection at the liquid-gas interface formed by the vitreous humor and a preretinal air bubble.
