    Patients with obesity who underwent bariatric surgery and subsequently suffered a heart attack had lower rates of mortality and severe complications than patients with obesity and heart attack but no history of bariatric surgery, Cleveland Clinic research shows. The results should encourage earlier intervention with at-risk patients.
