Chief Examiner
Overview There is a vacancy for a new Chief Examiner to take up office at the Annual General Meeting in June 2024. The appointment will be made in advance of the meeting to enable the successful candidate to receive a handover from the present incumbent. The post is voluntary and the appointee should expect, with the agreement of their employer, to spend an average of 1 p.a. / session per week in the role. The Chief Examiner is responsible for all aspects of examinations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and to safeguard the high reputation of the examinations. The Chief Examiner is Chair of the Examinations Sub-Committee which currently meets up to nine times a year. Additionally, the Chief Examiner is also expected to attend the Education and Training Committee which meets three times each year.
