PulmCrit- Shrug Technique for US-guided subclavian lines - 1 year(s) ago

The CDC guidelines recommend placing subclavian lines to reduce the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infections. Meanwhile, mounting evidence suggests that we should probably be placing lines with ultrasound guidance. Unfortunately, the ultrasound-guided subclavian can be tricky. This post describes a slight modification that could make the technique easier and safer.

Impact assessment of perioperative point-of-care ultrasound training on anesthesiology residents - PubMed - 1 year(s) ago

Results suggest that a whole-body POC ultrasound curriculum can be effectively taught to anesthesiology residents and that this training may provide clinical benefit. These results should be evaluated within the context of the perioperative surgical home.
