A 12-year-old girl presented with a recurrent lesion resected twice in other hospitals as chalazion in the lateral part of the right lower eyelid. (A) The appearance and conjunctival surface of this lesion indeed mimic chalazion. The patient underwent complete excision of the lesion via the cutaneous incision. (B) The pathological diagnosis was pleomorphic adenoma. Most of the pleomorphic adenomas arise from the lacrimal gland or the upper eyelid, which makes our case an unusual presentation for this condition.

A 43 year-old woman with a known transthyretin amyloidosis mutation presented with vitreous floaters in both eyes. Visual acuity in her right eye (OD) was limited by severe amblyopia. Ophthalmic examination revealed dense vitreous opacities with pseudopodial attachments to the posterior capsule OD (A). Ultrasonography demonstrated globular areas of hyperreflectivity in the vitreous cavity (B). Vitreous biopsy OD confirmed a diagnosis of systemic amyloidosis with positive apple-green birefringence on Congo red staining (C).

A 69-year-old woman with a history of radial keratotomy (RK) 30 years prior presented with acute onset of pain, redness, and blurry vision in her left eye. Visual acuity was hand motions, and examination showed 4 RK incisions, Seidel negative, with fluorescein staining at the inferotemporal incision and a 2.5-mm hypopyon (A). B-scan ultrasonography showed dense mobile vitreous opacities (B). A vitreous tap and intravitreal injection of vancomycin, ceftazidime, and dexamethasone was performed. Two months later, the infiltrate and hypopyon had resolved, and OCT showed normal macular morphology (C, D).
