Steroids Impair Immunotherapy for Brain Cancer
In people with glioblastoma, steroids appear to limit the effectiveness of immunotherapy drugs, a new study shows. Steroids are routinely used to manage brain tumor symptoms, and findings from mice and humans showed worse survival when steroids were used along with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
