The answer is yes, as recently discovered through a collaborative effort among researchers from Scripps Research; the University of Copenhagen; the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, EMBL Barcelona; the University of California, San Francisco; the Tanga Research Centre in Tanzania; and the Infectious Disease Research Centre in Uganda.
