Gliomas: New Diagnostic, Prognostic, and Therapeutic Insights

Dear readers,

This collection will focus on gliomas with articles ranging from diagnostic, prognostic, and potential for therapeutic.

Iser et al. report on their ctDNA analysis of CSF samples in patients with gliomas, specifically developing a unique sequencing and an approach for reporting these sequencing results based on a molecular-guided tumor classification in glioma.

In addition, Lim-Fat et al. report on their analysis of IDH mutated gliomas, showing that young adults may experience progression sooner, despite presumably similar molecular subgroups.

Finally, Dobersalske et al. report on very exciting multi-modal data suggesting that a surplus of immune cells can cluster in the skull near the glioblastoma tumor bulk. Validating this and finding a way to leverage it for therapeutic purposes may pave the way for novel immunotherapy options.

Best regards,

Alireza Mansouri, MD
