ATTR-CM: What to Know From the Cardiomyopathy and Cardio-Oncology Symposium

Dear readers,

In this series, I will feature a collection of content focused on the rare, yet potentially fatal heart condition transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM). The first post I highlighted below is from one of our fellows at Duke and co-author on a perspective piece published in JCF reviewing systematic screening for V142I ATTR-CM.

On October 5, UC San Diego Health hosted me to discuss racial and geographic disparities in amyloid at their Cardiomyopathy and Cardio-Oncology Symposium. Prioritizing equitable access in amyloid is essential.

See more from me on ATTR below and in the coming weeks.

Sincerely,
Kevin Alexander, MD, FACC, FHFSA
