This randomized trial assessed the effect of alirocumab/statin vs. placebo/statin on flow mediated dilation (FMD) in acute myocardial infarction (AMI).

FMD improved throughout 1 year after AMI with medical therapy similarly in alirocumab/statin vs. placebo/statin treated patients.
